CCC: How to Live Healthier and Happier in Retirement with Brad Bickford

Do you want to live longer and experience life to its fullest? Do you want to have more energy and find fulfillment in retirement? First, we will discuss how/when/if one is ready to retire. Then you will learn what research has found about some of the key pillars to health, happiness, and longevity like exercise, a healthy diet, sleep, and socializing, and how these pillars and others will directly impact your brain to prevent or slow down the onset of dementia, depression/anxiety, or high blood pressure. We will also discuss if there’s sex in retirement, how being spiritual helps us, and some psychological/emotional tools that can make us feel happier. Class members will learn some key communication skills to enhance family and personal relationships. We will have fun in class and use exercises, lectures, TED talks, and discussion to enhance learning. Hopefully, you will laugh some and leave with a sense of enlightenment.
