Mentoring & Mutual Support
WAVE offers both group and individual village support.
Individual village mentoring is available to WAVE members. To check whether your village is a member, go to
WAVE Member Villages. To join WAVE, go to
Member Sign Up. Villages that are just starting up do not need to pay WAVE dues their first year and may request mentoring at no charge during this period.
If you are an operating village, fill out the
Mentor Request - Operating Village form to request a mentor. Villages in their start-up phase should fill out the
Mentor Request - Village in Start-Up Phase form. Just include whatever information you have about your village to help us help you, and especially tell us in your own words, at the end of the form, what your priority issues are. Someone will call you within one week to go over your needs, and we will try to connect you with a mentor within a month.
Become a mentor! We are continually recruiting mentors who can offer help to new or established villages. We want to hear from people with diverse experience to share--on one topic or many, on a one-time basis or a more sustained basis. You decide how much you can do, and when. To become a mentor, please fill out the
Become A Mentor form. You don’t need to be expert on everything; just tell us what issues you could help others with.
Group mutual support sessions are facilitated zoom discussions about specific issues of interest to those who are creating or growing a village. They are open to anyone in our region at no charge. Participants share challenges and solutions to help each other. For currently scheduled mutual support zoom sessions, visit
