WAVE Needs You!
WAVE is looking for people with a wide range of skills to help us help villages grow and thrive and advance the Village movement in our region. There are many rewarding opportunities to use your expertise and wisdom and make an impact. Areas include the following:
- Financial management / bookkeeping
- Communications, marketing, outreach
- Program and conference development
- Website and database management
In addition to openings on our Board of Directors, we’re creating new committees that may be headed by non-board members. We are also looking for mentors to share their expertise with both new and established villages.
The Board is an all-volunteer working board. Candidates do not need to be village leaders. What is important is a knowledge and appreciation of villages’ activities and a commitment—and time—to participate actively in WAVE’s work. Nominations (for yourself or someone else) are due December 1 and elections will be held at our plenary meeting on January 15.
