Annual In-Person Conference

The WAVE Conference offers a unique opportunity for village leaders, volunteers, government and nonprofit partners and others to come together, share insights, and learn from each other. Engage with expert speakers, participate in interactive workshops, and connect with peers to strengthen your village and better serve your community.
Plenary Programs offer speakers on critical topics for villages. Free and open to all.
January 15, 2025, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. via Zoom. Elections for WAVE Board of Directors will be held and winners of the 2025 Finishing Strong Award will be announced. There will also be a special presentation on digital steaming and a special WETA program for Villages.
Mutual Support Sessions are virtual, one hour, facilitated discussions about key challenges or opportunities for villages. Free and open to all.
February 26, 7:30 p.m. via Zoom. Exploring Generative AI. Presentation by Sheldon Hochberg.
March 24, 9:30 to 10:30 noon via Zoom. Open discussion on best practices and challenges facing Villages. Facilitated by Elizabeth Haile, WAVE Board Member and Executive Director of Bethesda Metro Area Village.

July 8, 1:00 2:00 p.m. via Zoom. WISE Connect - Demonstration and Conversation. Presentation by Marie Brodsky of WISE Citites.
