An Introduction to Aging with Mindfulness
About this event
Wyngate-Maplewood Neighbors Helping Neighbors Village & the Wyngate Citizens Association will co-host a Zoom presentation by Wyngate’s Isabelle Schoenfeld
Have you seen references to “mindfulness” and “meditation” in commercials on TV, in movies, articles, on phone apps, and wondered what it’s all about? In this presentation, Isabelle Schoenfeld will describe what mindfulness and meditation means and the benefits of their application.
Is believes “that no matter what comes up in life, personal or societal, mindfulness and meditation teachings offer us a guide on how to live in mindful awareness instead of reactivity—a deeply effective and valuable practice in our chaotic world!”
Biographical note:
Is has practiced mindfulness and meditation since 2001 and has participated in many silent retreats and workshops. She completed the internationally recognized two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program founded and led by renowned senior teachers/authors, Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield.
