August 1 2017 Monthly Update

August 2017

Hello everyone,

Summer is all but restful for county villages, we are always in the midst of lots of exciting activities! Over the past couple of months, 3 new villages have launched! We are now up to 23 active villages!

Congratulations to Friendship Heights Neighbors Network for launching this summer! They focus on many older adults that live in the four high-rise buildings in the Village of Friendship Heights (a bit confusing, yes). They welcome your referrals.

Congratulations to North Chevy Chase Connection! This intergenerational community is starting to offer social events and is building its capacity to offer neighborly support.

Congratulations to King Farm Neighbors Village in the Rockville city for launching their village! They have been given permission to share their thorough report on their community survey needs with everyone.

Village of Kentlands is now serving Lakelands as well and has changed their name to The Village at Kentlands and Lakelands.
